Ganed Dartington Glass fel y'i gelwid tan yr 1980au, ym 1967 yn un o fentrau cymdeithasol Ymddiriedolaeth Dartington Hall yng Ngogledd Dyfnaint. Yn fuan iawn daeth yn wneuthurwr llestri gwydr syml ond ymarferol mwyaf adnabyddus yn y DU. Adeiladwyd gweledigaeth Dartington ar arddull dylunio lân a syml, wedi’i wneud â llaw gan ddefnyddio technegau oesol o wreiddiau Llychlyn. Ers dros 50 mlynedd, mae llawer o ffigurau dylunio nodedig wedi dod at ei gilydd i ddefnyddio eu hangerdd a’u sgil i dyfu’r brand i fod yr unig gynhyrchydd graddfa ffatri sydd ar ôl yn y wlad bellach.
