"Delicious 3 Course Lunch with 1st Class Service from BETHAN & NATALIA We visited Castell Deudraeth in Portmeirion TUES 4th NOV 2025 for Lunch. Prior to our visit we had purchased online a 2 course Lunch for 2 Voucher, and then confirmed by telephone the date and time of our arrival. Today's Lunch was to celebrate my Wife's 65 birthday and it fitted in nicely with our 4 night mid week break at Haven in Porthmadog (MON 3-7 NOV25). Truly Awesome! A stunning Castle next to Portmeirion was very grand inside and a log fire burning made it nice and cozy. Service was 1st class & just amazing, very attentive friendly & professional from BETHAN & NATALIA. We upgraded the 3 courses (only an extra £5 each) and both had the Welsh Rump Steak as our mains. Such a good portion and presented well on a Hot Plate. It was cooked to perfection and I ate everything on my plate ... all nicely presented and ALL tasted so Yummy that we took photos! The staff were so nice and attentive, they even remembered from my Phone booking that it was my wife's Birthday Lunch. So what a lovely surprise when they brought her a birthday chocolate treat on a large plate.... it really made her day. Thank you so much BETHAN & NATALIA + all staff at Castell Deudraeh. Their chefs in the kitchen must be highly skilled & creative, as everything we ordered looked well presented, wonderful and delicious. FINE DINING AT IT'S BEST. The bill was extremely reasonable for the dining experience at £35 each for 3 courses, plus drinks and extras. Once you have paid your bill you are given two entrance vouchers to enter Portmeirion Village for the afternoon. Entrance would normally cost £10 each for adults. So it's a no brainer- Lunch including entrance :) In fact we enjoyed it so much that I went to Reception, and re-booked Lunch with the charming SOPHIE on the front desk. SOPHIE kindly gave me extra information and a Village guide map..... My wife and I returning to do it all again 2 days later on THURS 6th NOV 2025. The Village is very easy to get to with free parking. Mr JOHN MARPLES on the Village Entrance Booth kindly handed us our afternoon tickets in exchange for our voucher. Lovely fellow and very willing to answer our questions. Thanks JOHN. We had a fantastic afternoon walking around the very beautiful Portmeirion Village. Can't wait for Thursday to do it all again and visit more of the woodland walk path ….. so beautiful.
