The Village tells the story of a year in the life of Portmeirion, the magical village created by Sir Clough Williams Ellis and home to the cult TV series The Prisoner. In each episode we get to know the men and women who act as guardians of the village, helping to run and maintain the unique location, and experience the events which take place each season.

This exclusive release includes all 6 episodes of the series first shown on TV in 2019, plus a host of bonus features.

I was born across the Dwyryd Estuary in Harlech and have always known Portmeirion as this mysterious Italian village set amongst the stunning Eryri landscape in the heartland of our ancient Welsh language.

Producing ‘The Village’ series gave me a deeper understanding of its history and Sir Clough Williams-Ellis’s remarkable vision, but the real privilege was getting to know the people and ‘characters’ of Portmeirion who preserve its story and shape its future. Their love and passion for ‘The Village’ is truly unique and I hope our TV series was able to capture this. The village is truly magical but so too are its people.
