COVID-19

PORTMEIRION VILLAGE IS CLOSED BUT YOUR CAN STILL ORDER ON PORTMEIRION ONLINE

Following a call by the UK Government's Prime Minister on Friday night 20 March 2020 for all restaurants, cafes and bars to close the next day, 21 March, and also the Chancellor's addition that all shops should close, Portmeirion has acted on this announcement and closed the village to day visitor and staying guests until we are advised that we can re-open. We are glad that we have managed to protect the jobs of our 230 colleagues and that these positions are safeguarded for the future. We are sorry that we have had to disappoint visitors who wished to come here, but we are sure that people will understand we had no choice in the matter. We look forward to re-opening when the coronavirus crisis is over. We are working on refunding all deposits for accommodation, self-catering cottages, weddings and events that have had to be cancelled due to the closure or arranging to reschedule to a future date. We are refunding April deposits initially, to be followed by May deposits in due course. We will refund June deposits in May unless the situation has changed for the better and we can reopen. We certainly expect to be open in July and we are taking reservations from 1st July onwards on flexible terms with free cancellation. We wish to thank you for your understanding and support during this time of crisis. This statement will be updated as and when the situation changes.
