Emilio Traditional Brown Stew Pot 5L

Natural Terracotta Stew Pot high quality glazed finish virtually non stick and suitable for direct heat.

Before you use your Terracotta for the first time soak it in warm water for about 10 minutes. This is a stress relieving requirement and only needs to be done before the first use, after this you can use the product normally.

The more you use the product the more 'cured' it will become and better it gets.

You can use terracotta on gas & electric hobs, barbeques and in all types of ovens including Agas and microwaves, it is safe up to 250°C. Raise the heat gradually. Take care when using on a ceramic hob to avoid scratching the hob.

Terracotta is a very good conductor of heat and requires relatively little heat, always use low heat with large diameter dishes.

Avoid sudden changes in temperature and never heat an empty pan, however it is OK to heat cooking oil before adding your ingredients.

Care Instructions:

All of our terracotta products are dishwasher & freezer safe.

After use soak & wash in warm water or place in a dishwasher. Dry carefully and leave in the open to dry thoroughly.

Store your cookware in a well ventilated cupboard.

Putting terracotta away whilst still damp may encourage mould. This can however be cleaned by soaking overnight in a solution of 3 tablespoons of baking soda per litre of hot water.
